This whole plan has been flawed from the beginning. The assumption was made that the population should/will be 400,000 by 2030. Why was there never any discussion of this!? Where or when did the mandate come from to direct Surprise to have such a high density/ urban feel? Who decided the pop. should be allowed to increase 400% in 20 years? Currently you have inadequate aquatics, postal, library facilities etc., for the size of the populatiion. Every time I turn around there are more high density condos, apts, and housing tracts being built or approved. The traffic and congestion are bad and will only get worse. There is absolutely no 100 year water supply available. (you have a piece of paper-try drinking that if prolonged drought occurs) This general plan is a recipe for disaster. In the future I doubt I will want to live, work, or play here. edited 21:57, 20 Jan 2009

i completly agree with comment #1! There will be no future in surprise if things keep expanding the way of the citys planning is concerned, the city is indeed on its way to fail. i also will not be here to live work and play. (Is there enough people to vote against such a dismall future? i hope so )
